My Disappearing Four Patch Quilt and other Stuff!

It's been almost a year since my last post, time has just flown by.  I've been busy with so many different projects.

The latest one I have started on is going to be a king size quilt.  The pattern came from Jenny at the "Missouri Star Quilt Co."   It's called the "Disappearing Four Patch.  I modified it a little for the pattern I wanted but the initial construction of the basic block is the same.

This is the basic block.

I'll probably be working on this for at least the next month or so.  Maybe a little longer.  On this project I'm using my hand crank Brother Prestige machine.  I've been using my electric machines and serger so much it nice to get back to the basics again.  I'll keep you posted on how the progress comes along.

Oh...one more thing.  If you ever have the chance to go to Iceland you have to take it.  We just got back and it was the best trip.  Beauty beyond belief.  Here's just a few picks.

Seljalandfoss  Falls.

Shop by the falls that had awesome hand knit Icelandic Sweaters.

Absolutely beautiful mountain ranges.

Black Sand Beach at Vik.

Icelandic Horses everywhere that would come running up to you so you could pet them.

It's hard to pick out a hand full of pictures when you've taken literally hundreds of them.  Let me just say if you get the chance take it, the people are wonderful the landscape is absolutely beautiful.  It will definitely be a trip you'll remember for years to come.  We've decided to go back in the fall.

Until next time....Happy Sewing!  Seam Ripper Joe
